Golden Summer Light

We got really lucky with this family after walking through this park...a beautifully lit, tree-covered lane that was just begging to be the backdrop. So after just a few pictures in the green of the park, we spent the rest of our session capturing beauty in a perfectly hidden spot.

I smiled when their mom told me that she put her girls in red and pink shoes on purpose because it's a symbol of how their personalities clash at times. Isn't that true with all sisters?! They're best of friends and worst enemies all in the same hour (at least that's how it goes at our house!) We must have been quick with this session though, cause I didn't see any clashing. Aren't they cute!

Tis the Season

I'm always thankful at this time of year that I get calls from old friends. We get to catch up. I get to do something I enjoy. And I get to see their darling growing families. "Tis the season for family pictures.

I was lucky to spend an evening during Spring Break with this beautiful family. It was the coldest night of the week, but we got lucky that the rain stopped for a little while and the sun even peaked through the clouds.

Sneak Preview - The L Family - Salt Lake Family and Children's Photographer

The first session I had planned with the L Family got snowed out - so we postponed it a week. The entire week was beautiful and just hours before their session, another snow storm blew in and so we decided to get creative and try some indoor shots in their living room since their newest addition isn't quite snow-man-building age yet. :) Indoor or out, they're handsome boys and a beautiful mama!

Congrats on your newest, smily boy. Merry Christmas!
P.S. You may remember these darling boys from previous sessions, here and here.

Angie and I new each other in high school and came together again in honor of our high school classmate, Nate Jordan, who recently passed away after a battle with cancer. I donated this session to help raise money for his wife and two little daughters he left behind. Not only am I thankful that I could donate a little of my time and talent, but I am also grateful I could meet Angie's family and take a look at them through my lens. We had so much fun playing in the leaves.
